The United Methodist Children’s Home has been changing lives since 1871. A multi-service agency with programs for the entire family, UMCH reaches out to families throughout the north Georgia area with a message of healing and hope, offering services that are therapeutic in nature. The mission of the United Methodist Children’s Home is to provide redemptive, healing services that bring meaningful change to the lives of children and families. Grounded by scripture and the tradition of the church, we seek to bring the wholeness of God’s love to persons through Christ.
United Methodist Men, North Georgia Conference –

The United Methodist Men of the North Georgia Conference have a long history in construction and reconstruction actives with volunteers. Several of the projects include: rebuilding of New Salem United Methodist Church in Commerce following a fire that destroyed the church; construction of the Welcome Center at Camp Glission in Dahlonega; construction of cottages, bathhouse, well house and pavilion at Collinswood; construction of a home at Mountain Top Boys Home in Villanow; rebuilding and construction in Florida and Mississippi in response to devastation from hurricanes.
GlenCastle Constructors is a completely different type of construction firm. Formed in 1987 at the behest of some of Atlanta's biggest developers, GlenCastle is an incorporated company made up of representatives of some of the biggest construction firms in the Atlanta area and the Southeast.
The list of construction firms represented on the company's board of directors reads as a who's-who of the area's heavy-hitters: Brasfield & Gorrie, Hardin Construction Co., H.J. Russell & Co., Batson-Cook Co., Holder Construction Co., Humphries and Co., Malone Construction Co., Pinkerton & Laws, Skanska USA Building and The Winter Construction Co. to name a few.
